What is a Jib Crane?
A Jib Crane is a fixed or wall-mounted lifting device consisting of a horizontal arm (the jib or boom) supported by a vertical mast or wall bracket, with an electric hoist or chain block mounted on it to lift and position loads. Unlike overhead bridge cranes that span the full width of a bay, a Jib Crane serves a defined circular or semi-circular working area — making it ideal for individual workstations, dedicated machines, and material feeding points where a full-bay crane would be over-engineered or impractical.

Pillar Mounted Jib Crane
The Pillar Mounted Jib Crane (also known as a Free-Standing or Column Mounted Jib Crane) is anchored to a dedicated steel column independently fixed to the floor via a heavy-duty foundation. This configuration delivers up to 360° rotation of the jib, maximising working radius and coverage area. It requires no wall or building column support, making it suitable for open shop floors, outdoor yards, and locations away from structural walls. Wall Mounted Jib Crane
The Wall Mounted Jib Crane (also called a Wall Bracket Jib Crane) is fixed directly to an existing structural wall or building column, eliminating the need for a separate mast or dedicated foundation. The jib rotates up to 180° or 270° depending on the bracket configuration — optimal for facilities where floor space is at a premium and the wall structure can safely carry the imposed loads.
